The Holy month of Ramadan is over. As we ALL know by now the end of Ramadan is always marked by Eid-al-Fitr (time for senseless gluttony), and it's followed by Eid-al Adha (more gluttony, mass slaughter of animals and hands in blood deeping).

Every year Eid-al-Fitr, must be observed on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal (according to the Muslim , primitive and inaccurate lunar calendar) and this year it happens on 10-11-2010 of our Gregorian calendar. (reference)

And so this happy Muslim day will be celebrated by most of Australian Muslims on Friday (today) .... but not by Brisbane Muslims.

Oh, no Muslim brothers and sisters in Brisbane go one step further and combine the Eid celebration with the celebration of the 911 great slaughter of the Infidel.

What a treat!

Eidfest is the celebration of the end of Ramadhan for the Muslim community of South East Qld.

Please join us for a day of great food and entertainment and celebrate Muslim cultures with us. We are in our 6th year and are an award winning festival having won awards for every year of Eidfest.
