Simon Says

E-mail Print PDF

Failed political leader and one-time Prime Ministerial aspirant Simon Crean suggests that Australia should seek to become a “Financial Services Hub”, embracing Sharia-compliant practices. He seems to think we should join “the conga line of suck-holes” begging for the petro-dollar, and other Muslim droppings. Or, as the ABC put it:

“Mr Crean is keen for Australia to be part of the action by serving almost one billion Muslims in the Asia-Pacific and tapping into the vast pool of petro-dollars.” (source)

Crean promoted this as “moving with the times”, apparently without irony or any awareness of the astonishing hubris of such an utterance.

In banking, you serve the interests of stake-holders, not customers. Crean, apparently, doesn’t see anything odd in signing Australia up to be dictated to by people who think female genital mutilation is god-ordained, that women are only 25% the value of men, who whip women for being raped, who whip people for kissing in public, who whip people for holding hands, who whip people for drinking alcohol, who whip people for dressing in anything other than a black sack. I guess practices like these, that accompany Sharia finance like a hand in a glove, might see an end to default on loan repayments? Late with the rent? Hmmmm, maybe better not.

It is, after all, the bottom line we must maintain.

There is little point in doing a point-by-point dissemination of Crean’s talk on the ABC, as it speaks for itself, (I have included a transcript of his ABC announcement for those who may have missed it), but I would just throw this in for Crean’s benefit. It’s all well and good to be cawing from the top of the pile of money we made and saved under Howard; just where exactly will the wherewithal to be a “financial hub” come from, when Labor spends like a drunken sailor in a brothel? I guess we can get it from the Saudis, eh?

Yes, Australia, that really is the echo of Tirath Khemlani you hear, I kid you not.  (reference)

However, something else speaks loudly and clearly for itself and it is this I will advance a few opinions on.

Australia has moved from the smarmy Leftist feel-goodism that we endure periodically whenever we indulge the ALP. We now live in a totalitarian autocratic state, ruled by ideology, not principle, not law, not democratic process.

It is apparent that there’s very little “opposition” in the Libs and any vote we have is a poor choice between two heavily compromised and synchronistic options. An example of what I am referring to is the recent “Climate Change” fiasco and the lead-up to the inevitable debacle that was the Copenhagen conference.

I will not discuss the issue of climate change but merely note that for 11 weeks Kevin Rudd and Penny Wong made no public utterances on “climate change policy”. They did not need to, as Malcolm Turnbull stridently and vigorously argued the ALP’s case for them. Rudd must have smiled as he sat back and let Turnbull have free reign. Now, the “opposition” has adopted the premise of the ALP; that man is responsible for…something… and should, of course, have the bejingoes taxed out of him. So much for “NO”.

We have no representational government, no party to speak for conservative Australians.

Our “2 party system” is illegal. It defies the constitutional framework of Australia. Hence the furphies of DLP, Democrats, Greens, Nationals, etc. See…we don’t have a 2 party system! We have “choices”. Oh, yeah?

Our government-class has no mandate for the far more sinister policies they are implementing now. None of these changes to out national fabric, now being foisted on us without consultation or mandate, were ever aired in pre-election mode of 2007-8. Note please, that Crean admits to having talks on Sharia financial implementation at least 18 months ago. Were you consulted? Informed? Made aware in any way, shape or form? It is fair to conclude that we are being presented with a fait-accompli.

Government: We now have no moral or legal compulsion to obey these “leaders”. In fact, we have a duty to resist them, or never call ourselves Australians again. They are traitors and should be dealt with accordingly. Our Immigration situation is criminal and critical. They deal with it by marginalising and criminalising all voices of discontent. It is the Immigration fiasco that has paved the way for Sharia Finance and sharia-by-stealth. Our government dances to an islamist drum-beat. They hear money. I hear war.

Westpac: needs to be told that actions empowering the islamist agenda are not welcome and will not be tolerated. The simplest form of protest is to close all banking with them, divest yourself of any investment “products” you may hold with them, that support Sharia in any way. BUT, importantly, write and tell them why.

NAB: No Australia should have anything to do with this islamist front.
If you never have before, now is the time; write to every ALP-LIB member you know, demand this horrendous decision be rescinded, demand answers, refuse compromise, threaten ballot retribution….mobilise, mobilise, mobilise. Tell every one you know, become the bore you always feared you could be, dominate every conversation, refuse to be silenced.

Which bank? Not mine, that’s for damned sure!!!

Transcript of ABC Radio PM interview with Alexandra Kirk
Subject: Islamic finance
INTRODUCTION: The Federal Government has set out to attract Islamic banks to Australia. The Trade Minister, Simon Crean today launched the Government's first publication on Islamic finance. He says the sector is booming, worth more than a trillion dollars and growing at the rate of 10 per cent a year. Mr Crean is keen for Australia to be part of the action by serving almost one billion Muslims in the Asia-Pacific and tapping into the vast pool of petro-dollars.The Minister spoke to Alexandra Kirk.
SIMON CREAN: Australia is not only a very strong financial services sector and we want to make it bigger it's also a safe one. But what we have to do is to move with the times. We have to take advantage of where the big growth is and particularly, to be able to attract sources of finance in these regions that are going to be trading in our commodities and in our goods.
ALEXANDRA KIRK: The booklet coincides with the launch today of Westpac's launch of an investment vehicle for Islamic institutions; you're in effect promoting Islamic finance, is that the role of the Government to do that?
SIMON CREAN: Well of course it is, because it's a trade opportunity. And the thing that struck me when we had our discussions in Malaysia 18 months ago, was how they were positioning themselves to become a financial services hub, particularly for Islamic finance. Where the UK has done it, given active support to it, if Australia wants to position itself as a financial service hub for the Asia-Pacific region, it has to - in my view - embrace Islamic financing too.
ALEXANDRA KIRK: Would Islamic banks operating Australia, do you think, provide extra competition in the domestic markets, seeing as though they don't charge interest?
SIMON CREAN: Well first of all, competition is a good thing and secondly they notion that they don't charge interest doesn't mean that they don't take a profit. Because Shariah law, Islamic law prohibits the earning of interest. The instruments that we have to develop for Islamic financing focus on profit sharing and buying and selling of tangible assets, such as property, such as commodities. Now given that Australia is strong in both of those asset classes; commodities and property, it makes sense, if we want to attract more trade, more economic activity that we also adapt the financial instruments. But, don't anyone let you think that this is giving a free ride or interest free loans.
ALEXANDRA KIRK: In effect they charge a fee and they operate under Shariah law and so, on that basis do you think they'll really take off in Australia?
SIMON CREAN: Well a number of products have already been put out there Alex and clearly the Westpac one today suggests that they see an opportunity to take off. The problem here is that there are both taxation and regulatory restrictions on it.And because it's not earning interest, or can't charge interest but is charging a fee, it can get caught up at times with double transaction taxes, so it's at a competitive disadvantage.
ALEXANDRA KIRK: Are you planning to change those?
SIMON CREAN: That's the key aim of the... or it's been identified as an issue in the Johnson report, the one that came out the other day, that needs to be addressed and we will seek to do that in the context of an overall response to both the Henry review and this financial services sector issue.
ALEXANDRA KIRK: Islamic banks escaped to a large extent the worst ravages of the global financial crisis, is that another reason why you'd be promoting them?
SIMON CREAN: I think the key is that they're interested in us and we should be interested in them because we also escaped the ravages of the financial crisis. The great strength of the Australian financial services sector is its innovation, safety and its regulatory base. Why shouldn't we be looking to develop more products in terms of a hugely emerging market?
ALEXANDRA KIRK: To what extent are Islamic banks or financial institutions linked to governments in their respective countries?
SIMON CREAN: Some are and some aren't. That has to be taken into account in any of these issues, particularly if they involve direct investment by the Foreign Investment Review Board.
ALEXANDRA KIRK: Are you prepared for that?
SIMON CREAN: Of course we are. But I think that the bigger question is, a lot of the sovereign wealth funds around the world, including our own Future Fund, is quite frankly linked to government, because they reflect the surpluses that government's have accumulated in the past.

History - Violent Jihad

Australians celebrate and revere Anzac Day on April 25th each year in remembrance of our brave soldiers who fought in two great world wars to secure our freedom. Every Australian identifies with the slogan “lest we forget” and in services held around the country people reflect on the battles and men who died to secure our freedom. Yet across the world in France, there is one remarkable battle which helped form the Europe we know today and allowed the development of civilization based on Judeo Christian principles. This one famous battle has become known as the battle of Tours and effectively stopped the Muslim advance into Europe. After the death of Mohammed in 632AD, Muslim armies exploded out of the Arabian peninsula to conquer much of the Middle East, expanding across north Africa. From there they crossed into Spain in 711AD and eventually controlled much of al-Andalus by 715AD. It was the victory at Tours by Charles Martel that stemmed the tide and eventually the Muslim marauders were expelled from Spain in 1492 when the last outpost at Granada fell to King Ferdinand of Spain.

History - Infidels' Resistance

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born, lived, fought and won battles against religious and social oppression in the 17th century Bharat or India. He was a shining star in the Indian firmament and is renowned as a champion of the downtrodden and depressed masses. He was and continues to be an icon for the classes and masses alike and is seen as a rallying point for peasants oppressed by foreign rulers, Pathans and Moghuls alike. Sexually exploited women found in Shivaji Raje a protector, a benefactor and flocked to his Hindavi Swaraj to find solace and feel liberated under his saffron flag.

Perhaps some readers might be interested to know that January 28 is considered a feast day among Catholics – actually 2 feast days are celebrated on the same day – one is of ST Thomas Aquinas, the great medieval theologian and philosopher who adapted Aristotle to the western Judeo-Christian worldview. . It is also the feast day of a lesser known person – St Peter Nolasco, the great ransomer of captives from the Muslims.

Barbary Corsair
Somalian Islamic Pirates & Lessons from History

The dramatic rescue of the American cargo-ship captain Richard Phillips from the hands of Somalian Islamic pirates by the U.S. Navy—killing three pirates, holding him hostage at gun-point, through precision-targeting—warrants a review of the U.S. struggle with piracy and hostage-taking in North Africa, which ended two centuries ago.

Raiding trade-caravans and hostage-taking for extracting ransom in Islam was started by Prophet Muhammad. Having become powerful and secure after his relocation to Medina from Mecca in 622, Muhammad initiated Jihad or holy war in the form of raids of trade-caravans for earning livelihood for his community. In the first successful raid of a Meccan caravan at Nakhla in December 623, his brigands killed one of the attendants, took two of them captive, and acquired the caravan as “sacred” booty. The captives were ransomed to generate further revenue. Muhammad, later on, expanded this mode of Jihad to raiding non-Muslim communities around Arabia—for capturing their homes, properties and livestock, capturing their women and children as slaves often for ransoming and selling, and imposing extortional taxes—which sometimes involved mass-slaughter of the attacked victims.

Battle of Broken Hill Logo

The First Islamic Terrorist Attack on Australian Soil

On January 1, 1915 two Broken Hill men, both former camel drivers, armed themselves with rifles, an homemade flag bearing Islamic insignia and a large supply of ammunition and launched a surprise attack on the Picnic Train about 3 kilometres outside Broken Hill.

The train carried about 1200 Broken Hill residents to Silverton where a picnic to celebrate the new year was to take place.

The two Muslim men, Gool Mohamed originally a Pashtun tribesman from Afghanistan and Mullah Abdullah from what is known today as Pakistan, decided to wage jihad against Australian infidels after Australia and the Ottoman Empire officially joined the opposite sides in the WWI.

Jihad Galore and the Toledo Whore

Battle of Higueruela

Alhambra - GazelleHow often in conversation with a Muslim, do they quote Spain as the crowning achievement of Islam, where Muslims, Jews and Christians lived in harmony for about 800 years?

And when you mention the killings and massacres, you are told that the Spanish Inquisition was much worse.
This is a misconception, since the Inquisition in Spain was responsible for only between 4,000 and 5,000 lives. [1]

Yet in 1066AD, in a single day, muslims murdered over 4,000 Jews because Vizier Joseph ibn Naghrela had risen to a position greater than them, and of course, this upset the Muslim sensitivities. [2]

History - Imperialism

Decisive Victory for the West

At this time of year, it is timely to remember one of the greatest victories of the west against the Islamic world. On the 7th October in 1571, Don Juan and the Holy League, led by Admiral Doria, defeated the larger Ottoman fleet in the Battle of Lepanto, saving Europe from the Turks and militant Islam. The Holy League was a coalition of different armies - of the Republic of Venice, the Papacy (under Pope Pius V), Spain (including Naples, Sicily and Sardinia), the Republic of Genoa, the Duchy of Savoy, the Knights Hospitaller and some others.

History - Stolen Heritage

Jerusalem - Coat of ArmsWhy do Muslims insist that Jerusalem is their Holy City?
When Mohamed and his faithful followers moved from Mecca to Medina, they found themselves among three Jewish tribes/clans (BANU-L-NADIR, BANU KAINUKA and BANU KURAIZA)  which settled there some time after their expulsion from their homeland and also living there were  two Arab, pagan tribes.

Mohammed, who at this stage needed more followers, decided to win those tribes over and convert them to his newly invented religion.

Islam was yet not as fully developed as we know it today, and Mohammed was still having his sessions with Allah (the Medina period revelations).
