Our Caring Sharing Christmas

E-mail Print PDF
Muzzie ChrissieThis Christmas, the prominence given to Islam was striking. Considering Christmas is a Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus, this does seem a tad incongruous. After all, we would not join scientology in with Christmas, because scientology is of recent origin and has no part in the Christmas story. Similarly with Islam: Mohammed wasn’t even around at the time of Jesus’ birth, having been born in 570, hundreds of years after the events in Bethlehem. Despite this, the media are falling over themselves to ensure that Islam takes its (wrongful) place as one of the “Abrahamic” religions at this time of year. It is quite understandable that Jews feature in the story, as Jesus himself was Jewish, and his teachings were profoundly influenced by contemporary rabbinical teachings. Hence we accurately refer to the Judeo-Christian tradition. In an audacious display of historical revisionism, there has been a move to replace this term with the expression “Abrahamic” tradition, thereby inventing the fiction that Islam shares the same values and culture. If any other religion deserves a spot at Christmas, it is Zoroastrianism, religion of the 3 wise men, but there is no mention of this religion. Incidentally, I wonder what became of the Zoroastrians, and the once great Persian Empire – but better not ask that question, or we might discover that Islam had some part in their downfall!
Further revisionism takes place with claims that Jesus (re-named Isa) is shared by Islam.

Those who support this absurd claim seem unaware of the implications.

  • The Qu’ran does not regard Islam as a faith subsequent to Judaism and Christianity, but as the primordial religion.
Quran-3:67 Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and he was not of the idolaters.
Quran-3:68 Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protecting Guardian of the believers.
Quran-3:69 A party of the People of the Scripture long to make you go astray; and they make none to go astray except themselves, but they perceive not.
The Biblical prophets were also all Muslims, and Isa, the Muslim Jesus, was the last and greatest prophet before Muhammad.

The Islamic mind cannot even grasp the idea of "Christian Jesus"

So why didn’t we realise this? According to the Qu’ran, it is because Christians and Jews have corrupted and concealed the original form of their scriptures. The Qu’ran is the only true guide to this original form, so both Christians and Jews should ‘revert’ to their true religion by accepting the prophethood of Muhammad and following Islam.
(From “Revelation: guidance for the perplexed” by Dr. Mark Durie)

  • The Qu’ran does not accept that Jesus died on the cross, insisting he was raised up to Allah.
  • Muslims believe Jesus will come back, break the cross (i.e. destroy Christianity), establish Islamic Shari’ah Law throughout the entire earth, abolish the jizyah tax and lead the war against the kaffirs.

Well at least abolition of the jizyah, a feature of dhimmitude, is good news? Actually no, as the other choices besides living as a dhimmi are to accept Islam or die.

Al Age’s Barney Zwartz, proud recipient of an Islamic award for fair journalism, and hence eager to promote the Islamic narrative, featured a Christmas Eve story about how Muslims celebrate Christmas, under the title “An interfaith glimpse into a festive day.”
Barney Zwartz
He writes about a Turkish Muslim family whose children:-
“have helped decorate the Christmas tree with tinsel and coloured balls and a star on top. They've eyed the presents underneath and speculated with their friends, filled with anticipation about the special day…they are proudly Australian and proudly Turkish, too, and entirely confident enough of both their place and their religion to enjoy celebrating the season with the rest of the country.”

How lovely! Just like us!

Barney observes:
“Many Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Baha'is and people of other religions celebrate Christmas without compromising their own faith. And some non-Christian religions explicitly honour Jesus. For Muslims, he is one of the five holiest prophets; for Baha'is, he is the "messenger of God", while many Hindus accept Jesus as divine, as part of the wider Hindu pantheon.”

Yes Barney, but as religion correspondent, you must be aware that it is Muslims alone who will not tolerate other faiths. Deception (al taqiya) is a feature of Islam, but as a Christian, surely you do not subscribe to it?

Waleed Aly says” it's less usual for Muslims to celebrate Christmas in Australia than in many Muslim countries because where Muslims are in a minority they are anxious to preserve their identity. So it's not surprising that the more religious non-Christians are, the less likely they are to observe Christian festivals.”

Well, yes Wally. I’m sure in Saudi Arabia it’s very usual for Muslims to celebrate Christmas, just like the Christians in Saudi do!

Jesus was a slave of Allah
It's less usual for Muslims to celebrate Christmas in Australia than in many Muslim countries...Great Muslim prophet? Please!

In a nod to other religions, Barney adds a few lines about Hindu and Buddhists-:
Inthu Khatir, a Melbourne Hindu, says most of his co-religionists celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Jesus. "Hindus accept Christian teachings. Hindus regard all religions as paths leading to the same God and believe Jesus is the divine child of God," he says.

Yes, and Hindus don’t want to kill all those of other religions.

Buddhist youth leader Rinchen Khadro Norbu says many Australian Buddhists celebrate Christmas…
"It is a time reserved in our society for us to come together with our friends and family and practise loving kindness towards one another," she says. "It is also a time when individuals are encouraged to practise generosity in all its forms."

Protest against ChristianityYes, Buddhists use Christmas as an opportunity to practise loving kindness towards one another, not jihad. (Ref.)

SBS, in its eagerness to be inclusive of Muslims, featured a Compass special at peak viewing time on Christmas day, called THREE FACES OF CHRISTMAS. The introduction reads
“Did you know that Muslims celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas?  Compass explores what followers of the three Abrahamic faiths: Christianity, Judaism and Islam do during the festive season. We follow a Catholic family rehearsing a nativity play; a Jewish family celebrating Hanukkah, or the Festival of Lights; and, an Islamic family which doesn’t celebrate Christmas but honours Jesus as a prophet too.”  (Source)
“JTV Youth Network and triple J presenter Robbie Buck meets three families from three different faiths, all celebrating the festive season in three different ways.”
We are told that Robbie is a lapsed Anglican, but now he's on a journey of discovery, meeting up with the three families  “uncovering beliefs about faith and family that transcend religious differences.”
When Robbie visits the family of Sheikh Jehad Ismail, he “is surprised to find out that Muslims actually celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He visits the Sheikh's Islamic Centre, where Muslims gather to honour the miraculous birth of Jesus, who they regard as a prophet of Islam. Back at home, the Sheikh, his wife, and three daughters also write Christmas cards and distribute gifts to their Christian neighbours for Christmas.” (Ref.)

How lovely! Muslims are just like us and celebrate the birth of Jesus, whom they honour as a prophet of Islam.
Ah there’s the rub; they believe Jesus was Muslim and was a prophet of Islam. Shouldn’t Compass have also explained that Muslims want to destroy Christianity. And incidentally, as they want to kill all Jews, how’s that for revering Jesus?

So not just like us Christians at all!Robbie Buck

Another detail Robbie omitted to mention was that the soft-spoken Sheikh, of the Imam of Al-emaan Australian Muslim community, Arncliffe, was upset when one of his colleagues, Sheikh Mansour Leghaei, was asked by ASIO to leave Australia voluntarily. His community, in a heavily loaded ballot, asked members to vote whether he should go “Sheikh Mansour Leghae should remain in Australia uniting the Islamic community from within, and often with other faiths and walks of life as well.

” PLEASE VOTE NO - HE SHOULD STAY!
The good which he enjoins each day surely outweighs a trivial accusation which is not even publicly disclosed. If it were so bad, why has he been here for 12 years??? Why indeed? The faithful are then directed to a place where they can get more information - we have a FaceBook group called "Reasons why Dr Mansour Leghaei is NOT a threat to national security!" (Ref.)    and (Ref.)
So by now I’m sure you’re all convinced that we have nothing to worry about: Islam is just like Christianity and deserves its spot around the Christmas tree.
Anyone who tells you differently is just being ISLAMOPHOBIC!

History - Violent Jihad

Australians celebrate and revere Anzac Day on April 25th each year in remembrance of our brave soldiers who fought in two great world wars to secure our freedom. Every Australian identifies with the slogan “lest we forget” and in services held around the country people reflect on the battles and men who died to secure our freedom. Yet across the world in France, there is one remarkable battle which helped form the Europe we know today and allowed the development of civilization based on Judeo Christian principles. This one famous battle has become known as the battle of Tours and effectively stopped the Muslim advance into Europe. After the death of Mohammed in 632AD, Muslim armies exploded out of the Arabian peninsula to conquer much of the Middle East, expanding across north Africa. From there they crossed into Spain in 711AD and eventually controlled much of al-Andalus by 715AD. It was the victory at Tours by Charles Martel that stemmed the tide and eventually the Muslim marauders were expelled from Spain in 1492 when the last outpost at Granada fell to King Ferdinand of Spain.

He was a shining star in the Indian firmament and is renowned as a champion of the downtrodden and depressed masses. He was and continues to be an icon for the classes and masses alike and is seen as a rallying point for peasants oppressed by foreign rulers, Pathans and Moghuls alike. Sexually exploited women found in Shivaji Raje a protector, a benefactor and flocked to his Hindavi Swaraj to find solace and feel liberated under his saffron flag.

Perhaps some readers might be interested to know that January 28 is considered a feast day among Catholics – actually 2 feast days are celebrated on the same day – one is of ST Thomas Aquinas, the great medieval theologian and philosopher who adapted Aristotle to the western Judeo-Christian worldview. . It is also the feast day of a lesser known person – St Peter Nolasco, the great ransomer of captives from the Muslims.

Barbary Corsair
Somalian Islamic Pirates & Lessons from History

The dramatic rescue of the American cargo-ship captain Richard Phillips from the hands of Somalian Islamic pirates by the U.S. Navy—killing three pirates, holding him hostage at gun-point, through precision-targeting—warrants a review of the U.S. struggle with piracy and hostage-taking in North Africa, which ended two centuries ago.

Raiding trade-caravans and hostage-taking for extracting ransom in Islam was started by Prophet Muhammad. Having become powerful and secure after his relocation to Medina from Mecca in 622, Muhammad initiated Jihad or holy war in the form of raids of trade-caravans for earning livelihood for his community. In the first successful raid of a Meccan caravan at Nakhla in December 623, his brigands killed one of the attendants, took two of them captive, and acquired the caravan as “sacred” booty. The captives were ransomed to generate further revenue. Muhammad, later on, expanded this mode of Jihad to raiding non-Muslim communities around Arabia—for capturing their homes, properties and livestock, capturing their women and children as slaves often for ransoming and selling, and imposing extortional taxes—which sometimes involved mass-slaughter of the attacked victims.

Battle of Broken Hill Logo

The First Islamic Terrorist Attack on Australian Soil

On January 1, 1915 two Broken Hill men, both former camel drivers, armed themselves with rifles, an homemade flag bearing Islamic insignia and a large supply of ammunition and launched a surprise attack on the Picnic Train about 3 kilometres outside Broken Hill.

The train carried about 1200 Broken Hill residents to Silverton where a picnic to celebrate the new year was to take place.

The two Muslim men, Gool Mohamed originally a Pashtun tribesman from Afghanistan and Mullah Abdullah from what is known today as Pakistan, decided to wage jihad against Australian infidels after Australia and the Ottoman Empire officially joined the opposite sides in the WWI.

Jihad Galore and the Toledo Whore

Battle of Higueruela

Alhambra - GazelleHow often in conversation with a Muslim, do they quote Spain as the crowning achievement of Islam, where Muslims, Jews and Christians lived in harmony for about 800 years?

And when you mention the killings and massacres, you are told that the Spanish Inquisition was much worse.
This is a misconception, since the Inquisition in Spain was responsible for only between 4,000 and 5,000 lives. [1]

Yet in 1066AD, in a single day, muslims murdered over 4,000 Jews because Vizier Joseph ibn Naghrela had risen to a position greater than them, and of course, this upset the Muslim sensitivities. [2]

History - Imperialism

Decisive Victory for the West

At this time of year, it is timely to remember one of the greatest victories of the west against the Islamic world. On the 7th October in 1571, Don Juan and the Holy League, led by Admiral Doria, defeated the larger Ottoman fleet in the Battle of Lepanto, saving Europe from the Turks and militant Islam. The Holy League was a coalition of different armies - of the Republic of Venice, the Papacy (under Pope Pius V), Spain (including Naples, Sicily and Sardinia), the Republic of Genoa, the Duchy of Savoy, the Knights Hospitaller and some others.

History - Stolen Heritage

Jerusalem - Coat of ArmsWhy do Muslims insist that Jerusalem is their Holy City?
When Mohamed and his faithful followers moved from Mecca to Medina, they found themselves among three Jewish tribes/clans (BANU-L-NADIR, BANU KAINUKA and BANU KURAIZA)  which settled there some time after their expulsion from their homeland and also living there were  two Arab, pagan tribes.

Mohammed, who at this stage needed more followers, decided to win those tribes over and convert them to his newly invented religion.

Islam was yet not as fully developed as we know it today, and Mohammed was still having his sessions with Allah (the Medina period revelations).
