Government spends $200,000 to identify radical Muslim youth, then throws more money at them.
In addition to Kara-Ali’s $200,000 grant to investigate the radicalisation of young Muslims, the government plans to spend $461,000 in funding to the States and Territories in 2007-8 and $513,000 in Federal programmes assisting Muslims integrate into the broader Australian community – to gain employment, improve their education and gain a better understanding of Australian cultural values.
But does flinging money at them help? There’s a saying that you can take a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. However much money you spend, it will be wasted if the recipients do not want to avail themselves of the benefits.

So here are some points to ponder:
1. Should money be spent 'enhancing' the opportunities of one group at the expense of all others? Muslims comprise about 1.5% of the population and already have huge sums diverted to them, plus enormous funding from oil-rich Islamic states. Giving them extra funding rewards threats and demands, affording Islam a privileged status. Could the narrative that Muslims are moderate people who will fit into our society be false: otherwise, why would we need to spend money to teach them to fit in? It seems the worse a minority behaves, the more its demands are met! Conversely, ethnic groups who are a model of good behaviour are sidelined and receive nothing. Surely this creates a very bad precedent.
2. How can we build "social cohesion, harmony and security" when we ignore the truth: that it is the rest of the community that needs protection from the outrages, violence, threats and demands of the Muslim community. For instance, the Jewish community has to employ security guards outside all their institutions to protect them, primarily from Muslim violence, and the on-going Lebanese gang violence and rapes in Sydney are well-known, despite media attempts to suppress this information.
3. While the government may naively hope that throwing money at the Muslim community will mofify their behaviour, so they will ignore the text, laws and aims of Islam, the consequence of European appeasement illustrates that this is absurd! Were the money to be used in schools to point out where Islam conflicts with our laws and values, there may be some possibility of change, but that would involve critiquing Islam and suggesting that our society was better! Not only would this result in Islamic riots and violence, as Islamic law does not allow criticism, but no school or institute would dare to run such a course! Furthermore, Victorian law forbids any criticism of Islam for fear that the TRUTH would offend!
4. ASIO and DFAT have recently taken steps to reduce the flow of funding from Saudi Arabia, depriving local extremists of funding which has helped to promote extreme Wahabist interpretations of Islam. Surely it would be counter-productive for the government to counteract this positive initiative by supplementing their money supply.
5. Judging by the past record, the money will be used to Islamize Australia by promoting Islam, giving unfair advantages to Muslims and demanding that changes be made to accommodate them, so they 'fit in', while our society is destroyed! If Muslims feel uncomfortable living here because they prefer to live under sharia, there are many Muslim countries where they can enjoy Islamic society and laws (though others face persecution). Our society welcomes the many racial and religious groups who choose to share it, and we must preserve it against those who come with the intention of altering it to privilege them!
6. A far cheaper solution would be to stop Islamic immigration. Islam is a totalitarian ideology with archaic, repressive and racist precepts that are totally incompatible with our open democracy and values. Islamic law allows child marriage, clitoridectomy, polygamy, instant divorce for men, beating women, plus an enormous array of repressive, humiliating, violent, inequitable text and laws that threaten, demean and limit the rights and freedom of women and non-Muslims.
7. Islamic text tells Muslims not to be friends with Jews and Christians (or indeed any non-Muslim) eg Koran 3.28, 4.89, 4.144, 5.51, 5.56-64. Sheik Khalid Yasim, teaching at a mosque in Lakemba, told Muslims they can't be friends with non-Muslims and must be separate from them….they must live under sharia law…and they shouldn't go to university as intellectualism was dangerous for a Muslim…and they could beat wives..(60 Minutes Channel 9 24/7/05).
8. Islamic society is deemed 'superior' to all others. Surveys indicate many Muslims don't want to integrate, but separate and live under sharia (religious apartheid!). Despite great expense and effort by Europe to integrate Muslims, their massive influx has resulted in Islamic enclaves, operating under sharia, which are no-go areas for police, politicians and non-Muslims. Everyday losses to the French economy from Islamic violence and arson are massive. Austria claims at least 40% of its Muslim population can never be assimilated. Note the high proportion of rapes (65-85% by Muslims males who make up only a few percentage of the population!) and other acts of violence carried out by Muslims males.

Four Corners (9/6/03) showed that Muslim communities seemed to have little intention of becoming part of our Australian society, but remained in Islamic enclaves which, according to a Muslim interviewee, would serve as a base to demand an Islamic state and eventually take control of Australia! Ameer Ali, former head of your own Muslim Advisory Board, remarked "Australia is a Muslim nation…there is no such thing as Australian values." (ninemsn Sunday Oct. 8 2006).More money please or ...our youths will become radicalized even further10. Dr Abdur Rauf, writing in a Pakistan publication, confirms how prominent Islam has become in every area of Australian life.
“Islam continues to enlighten the Australian continent with increasing force and fervour…. Each state has an Islamic Council, Islamic Cultural Centre, Muslim student's association and a number of mosques. The AFIC (Australian Federation of Islamic Societies) has by now established itself as a symbol of unity and power of Islam and the Muslim Ummah in Australia.”
It is alarming that taxpayer-funded money is being used to train Imams, making our universities little more than maddrasses. Why is there not comparable funding to train Rabbis, priests, ministers, Buddhist monks, Hindu leaders etc?
Dr. Rauf continues:
"After laying solid foundations of Islam on the soil of the Australian continent, the Muslims started proceeding according to a system of planned projects and programmes. Mosques, cultural centres and educational institutions were opened methodically. Their activities were regulated and harmonised by a well-organised coordinating body, the AFIC."
…. But if such missionary endeavours are patronised periodically by the Muslims states, the cherished goals are bound to be achieved much more speedily and effectively". (source )
Dr. Rauf's comments leave no doubt regarding the Islamic plan for the takeover of Australia.
- The proliferation of funding initiatives for Muslims has lead to the Islamification of many institutions and emboldens Muslims to demand even more. Most tertiary institutes practice religious apartheid, under the guise of accommodating Muslims, who get special, separate lock-up facilities eg wash/toilet facilities, mosques and prayer rooms.
- The numerous University faculties of Islamic/Interfaith Studies that have sprung up, often funded with money from oil-rich Arab states, discourage open enquiry and propagate a sanitised view of Islam. These departments are invariably controlled and staffed by Muslims, who cannot criticise Islam, so no analysis of Islam is possible! Speakers on campus must be 'Muslim friendly', stifling any alternative views of Islam and the behaviour of its adherents. Conversely, other religious/ethnic groups are frequently criticised and accused of imperialism and/or racism in order to silence dissent. It is non-Muslim groups that require assistance, protection and learning and employment enhancement, particularly at our tertiary institutes.
- Other faith traditions have contributed greatly to Australia and the world. Why don't we have substantial funding of university departments devoted to studying their culture and history, particularly as they encourage rational critical analysis?
- Groups like the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV) are associated with CAIR in America, which is a Hamas front and involved in terrorist funding. If they continue to receive funds, are we not inadvertently funding terrorist organisations?
To preserve our society from further Islamization and destruction we suggest:
- Stop further Islamic immigration - better not to import trouble than to spend a fortune trying to fix it.
- Stop government funding of Islamic schools or madrasses, institutions, 'advisory boards' and 'councils' etc. (Where are the advisory boards telling the government what to do to satisfy other religions eg Judaism, Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism- there are more Buddhists and Christians in Australia than Muslims and all have unique 'needs'!)
- Stop funding the training of imams, which turns our universities into madrasses, compromising their integrity and freedom of thought and speech.
- Stop all outside funding (particularly Saudi funding) of Mosques, Islamic schools, or Institutions –including the funding and control of Islamic departments in tertiary institutes, clerics and imams and other Islamic organisations.
- Deny funding to any schools that have an Islamist agenda, or those which have allowed themselves to be used and taken over by Islamists, such as RMIT in Melbourne.
- Ensure Islamic studies departments in tertiary institutes are NOT solely controlled and staffed by Muslims and that critical analysis of Islam is encouraged and rewarded.
- Criminalise propagation of Islamic law in Australia. It is treason!
- Stop government funding of Interfaith, which is a deception and a cover for mainstreaming Islam.
- Stop the Jewish Christian Muslim Association (JCMA)’s incursion into schools to spread a false view of Islam.
- Prohibit police and Parliamentarians accepting lavish hospitality from Islamic groups, as this compromises their integrity.
- Pass a law preserving freedom of speech, including the right to criticise all religions/ideologies without fear of violence, court proceedings or prison.
- Withdraw Australia from the UN. The UNHRC has been taken over by Islamists, who are using it to bring in blasphemy laws to stop any criticism of Islam and the Refugee Convention is forcing Australia to accept dangerous Muslim 'refugees' like members of the Muslim Brotherhood, whom even Islamic countries don't want!

It is indeed naive in the extreme to hope that extra money will encourage Islam to integrate with our society. The govt does not get the fact that Islam, extreme or moderate, does NOT integrate. With their vast belief in the superiority of their beliefs and system (religion and state being one and the same in their mind) we have no hope that the majority of them ever will. I have seen no evidence that they ever have anywhere at any time since they came into being. We only have to look at what has happened in Britain and Europe to see that fact.

What company want to stop its assembly line for prayers? What company want to install special foot washing facilities? What company wants a divided meal room which has halal food added to the meals available? And are banks going to put on female muslim tellers all decked out in the black tent? How ludicrous would that be because the sign on some banks asks motor bike riders to remove their helmets before entering the bank. If I was a bike rider I'd wear a burqa under my helmet. Imagine the security guard at the bank scratching his head as he watches me remove my helmet but leave my burqa in place.
We must be f**kin' mad.

I would not mind if the increase in funding is to deport the scum and all the scum – we already know there will be mountains of lies and cover-ups- just cast you memory back to Cronulla- and how much money was stolen from tax payers to fund a fraudulent scheme to make young Muzzy s life savers- I suppose in the actual reverse inference, that would mean the Grim reapers (Rapers) of the beach. There was thirty million flushed down the toilet.

The article is well written, articulate and researched. All my own research rolled into one. Articles like this should be cut and pasted onto Greg Sheridans lastest blog. I doubt it would get past the censor. Also onto the next blog by Janet Alsbrechsten.
I am becoming rather disturbed by the march of islam in our community aided by PC and appeasement by government and education officials. The problem is, most of these people know nothing of islam or what it portends. So islam takes them out one by one, there no solid front to confront islam, and if one or some do stand firm, death threats follow, and a divided society cannot defend itself against terror.

Yes we are Enrico. I was interested in quadrigamists entering Oz so I contacted CentreLink. This is the situation: it is illegal to marry more than one spouse in Oz however, a person who has more than one spouse may enter Oz as a migrant. That person (assume the person is a male) can nominate only one of his spouses as his wife. The 2nd, 3rd and maybe 4th spouse of the man are given the deserted wives pension and any dependants are taken into consideration.

Throwing money at the Muslim youth will only encourage them. These are the types who, instead of appreciating gifts, will mug the person who's giving them. The rape of Europe by Muslim immigrants is surely proof of that.

I already see the apologists of Islam thumbing their noses at us, certain in the belief that the much-called for measures listed by you above would never even be considered by our politicians-leave aside the question of their enforcement.It is a sad fact of our times that it is only common people like us who seem to be fully educated on the most pressing issues of our day and also clear in our minds about the policy to be adopted to rid us of the imminent dangers to our nations. We, on our part, should not admit defeat but continue to fight to the bitter end. Ours being the cause of the just, I have no doubt whatsoever of the ultimate victory of the same, no matter who our foes are or what international conspiracies are hatched against us. History has a way of correcting all anomalies and sweeping aside all such elements who seem to work against the normal functioning of human societies- look at what happened to Hitler, Stalin, and in China too, Chairman Mao survives only in the portraits hung up on the walls of the party's offices. Look at what happened to the Cordoba Caliphate in Spain. Right when the position of Islam there looked secure, Ferdinand and Isabella taught them a lesson they remember till date. I am sure the same fate awaits Islam and its apologists in the very near future. As an Indian Islamist,alarmed at the Hindu backlash against Islamic violence rightly noted a few years ago, " IF Islam does not destroy terrorism ,then terrorism will destroy Islam!"

Perhaps some readers might be interested to know that January 28 is considered a feast day among Catholics – actually 2 feast days are celebrated on the same day – one is of ST Thomas Aquinas, the great medieval theologian and philosopher who adapted Aristotle to the western Judeo-Christian worldview. . It is also the feast day of a lesser known person – St Peter Nolasco, the great ransomer of captives from the Muslims.
How often in conversation with a Muslim, do they quote Spain as the crowning achievement of Islam, where Muslims, Jews and Christians lived in harmony for about 800 years?

Islam is currently passing through one of its most dynamic times since its rise fourteen hundreds years ago. This dynamic period started long before 9/11 as a fierce struggle, mainly against the west, but also against any nation or group that dares to stand in its way. Most Muslims take this resurgence phase very seriously and consider it as a decisive battle between Islam and the non-Islam, or the kufr, which Mohammed told them they would win. Even though the west, currently, is largely in denial about this makes no difference to the significance of this conflict to the whole world. 
There is a very strongly entrenched view among majority of Westerners today that the three main monotheistic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam share one common God and therefore despite the obvious differences, the core foundation of these three religions is the same.
