Scott Gration Chooses Normative Policy with War-Crime Indicted President (Damanga press release)
In a September 29th report in the Washington Post, Major General Scott Gration, the US Special Envoy for Sudan, stated that he plans to implement a “normative” relations policy to solve the Darfur crisis with the only war-crime indicted President in the world, Omar Al-Bashir. Gration believes that positive cooperation with the Sudanese government is the best way to end the genocide: “We've got to think about giving out cookies. Kids, countries, they react to gold stars, smiley faces, handshakes, agreements, talk,” Gration stated.
The Damanga Coalition for Freedom and Democracy is extremely saddened by Gration’s proposal and naïve remarks about Darfur and the Sudanese 
government. It is clear that Gration and the Obama administration fail to realize or choose to ignore the severity of the genocide and rampant corruption within the Sudanese government. As fellow Darfur activist John Prendergast bluntly criticized Gration in the report, “They [The Sudanese Government] do not respond to nice guys [like Gration] coming over and saying, 'We have to be a good guest…they eat these people for dinner.”

- Immediately act to reconsider this policy before any serious implementation occurs.
- Replace Gration with a strong, honest, and effective new envoy for Sudan.
- Terminate U.S. relations with the Sudanese government to protect the rights of Darfuris.
- Arrest Al-Bashir and the associated Sudanese government officials and transport them to the ICC before any peace negotiations take place.
- Suspend elections in Sudan until all refugees are returned, their villages rebuilt, and the Janjaweed settlers are evacuated.
- Fully deploy the promised 26,000 UN Peace keepers with helicopters and associated financial and logistical resources to fully protect the Darfuri refugees.
- Enact a non-fly zone over Darfur to protect innocent Darfuris from Sudanese aircraft bombings.
- Disarm the Janjaweed Arab militias immediately.

Thank you, Mohamed Yahya, for exposing the US Special Envoy for Sudan's policy of craven appeasement, which, as we know from history, encourages even more tyranny and terrorism.
I think your assessment of Gration’s proposal as naïve is rather too polite. People who espouse these viewpoints are complicit in that they are encouraging terrorism. I think it was Daniel Pipes who pointed out that policies like this exhilirate terrorists.
I applaud the poposals put forward by the Damanga Coalition for Freedom and Democracy. I only wish the rest of the world was listening to those who have knowledge of the situation.
Tragically, Africa is being ruined by the onslaught of Islam, of which the Janjaweed Arab militias is but one example.
As we saw from Circe's last article, Black Africans have been enslaved by Islam and are treated with extreme cruelty. Yet the West seems happy to turn a blind eye and repeat the mantra that somehow, it is because of our racism and imperialism.

Sorry, I made a mistake in my earlier post, saying he chopped the victim's head off. He shot him, which is much more humane. Oh, and then he chopped his head off!

What is the saying about good leaders attracting good staff? Obama attracts like minded people and that is why America is in deep trouble. Look at his supporters like Samantha Power, George Mitchell, Susan Rice and the like. Obama now wants a unified Palestian state joining Gaza to the West Bank which would split Israel in two and leave it defenceless.

Gration would obviously prefer to believe you can negotiate and that carrots work better than sticks.
This might be the case with donkeys, and at my kids' school, they used to give smiley face stickers, but giving them vicious dictators and those espousing an ideology of killing kuffars might not work so well.

I guess they are named after Mohammed because he was the excellent example to be followed for all time. What is sad is that when areas of the world become Islamised, they give up their culture and start to adopt Arab dress, language and names.

Under Obama it can only get worse. The sheer stupidity of these American envoys is staggering, their ignorance monumental and their gullibility astonishing!
The southern Sudanese Christians and Animists need to demand a separate state with a big wall between them and the Muslim north and ensure no Muslims enter the south. Currently they eneter undercover by supposedly setting up universities---all Islamic dawa and trickery! As for the people of Dafur, they are pure black and hence are regaded as inferior to the Afro-arabs and Arabs trying to kill them and enslave them....they need to realise that Islam is to blame and stop following the religion that despises them. When they wake up, they can work to remove Islam from the north as well!
