I heard of a similar situation that happened in Britain. A Muslim man was speeding on a highway in Scotland, so the police pulled him over. When asked why he was speeding, he said that he needed to get to his second wife's house because he has two wives and each night he sleeps with one and goes back the next night to sleep with the other. If he didn't get to his wife's house to sleep with her on time, she would be mad at him. The police let him go once he told them he was a Muslim.
Sigh...it's pretty sad how dhimmis and Muslims are taking over the law.

Yes, bigamy is unfair, and polygamy is even worse. To say the least, bigamy and/or polygamy creates disorder in families. Perhaps some might argue that the men are getting a good deal, but certainly the wives, and progenies of the mothers are not. This disorder, men "marrying" many wives, can lead to many evils: jealosy, envy, taking unfair advantage, disharmony, strife, lack of supervision to the many children, and even murder. No, it isn't a good set up. Can you now see why Muslims are so backward and disordered?
I can see why adultery isn't fair in society. This is yet one more reason why the Muslims are living in a primitive and backward society. All that disorder will forever condemn Muslims to Third World Countries, lack of education, undue suffering, undue frustrations, acts of terrorism, and ignorance.
Here in the States, bigamy and/or polygamy is against the law. A male can get arrested and jailed if he is caught in bigamy or polygamy. Muslims are really barbarians. When educated muslim women tell that they are proud muslims, it gives more shock that how can that be? Slaves being proud of the ideology of slavery.
I guess a separate book on Women in Islam should be written without any political correctness. It should also mention with all recent examples. It seems the world is in mass hysteria and paranoia.
More movies should be made on Islam. I hope somebody makes a movie on 'Satanic Verses' etc.

This is one issue which really grates with me.
I wasn't aware of the sublteties of the Law which holds that the marriages have to take place in Australia.
To me this Pakistani man is polgymous and should be charged.
I am also enraged that leading Islamics openly flaunt their many wives, and feed on our tax dollars. What example do they set to their followers in the mosque?
I feel another letter writing campaign coming on. I might try the Australian Christian Lobby for support!

I know UK has laws saying that if a man marries OVERSEAS and brings his wives to UK, it will be accepted.
I didn't know that our Australian law of " man and woman" didn't apply to this situation?

After all, it's their law, which is obviously superior to kaffir laws. We will just have to accommodate them.
The sad thing is that many Western women are being wooed by these Muslims, who are very charming and persuasive before they marry them. After the marriage, things change pretty quickly, and of course the Western woman gets a shock when she discovers hubby is planning to take another wife.
Sadly, many women will not listen to the warning not to marry a Muslim. They will not believe this lovely man can possibly turn into a typical Muslim husband.

I suspect the policeman had attended 'sensitivity training' and realised how important it was for the man to service his second wife.
Imagine how much more speeding this Muslim man will do when he gets his full complement of 4 wives.

Yes, bigamy is rotton for women, and there is much envy and competition amongst the various wives. Needless to say, the kids suffer terribly.
Muslims will argue that Westerners commit adultery, which they say is much worse, because Muslims marry the women. But the aim of adulterers is usually to avoid getting pregnant, so at least there are not many disfunctional children produced.
Personally, I think adultery is also wrong and regrettable, but humans are fallible. There's another difference. In our society, adultery is usually frowned upon, whereas in Islamic society, multiple wives are encouraged.

We have learned about this single case only because this brave lady decided to speak out about her husband's religious endevours and about the role, which “our” moderate imams play in keeping the faithful right on track.
But, … how many cases are there that we do not learn about?
How many poor women follow their their husbands to Australia (and other Western countries) in order to escape the Islamic persecution only to discover that our laws do nothing to protect them?
Divorce? Well at least she can start the proceedings here whereas it would be not possible under Shariah.

What an irony that the woman rang during John Faine's programme, as Faine is best mates with master Islamist Waleed Ali.

The very sorry truth in this case is that the man was prosecuted for speeding, the 2 wives was his excuse in court and some bungling incompetent idiotic treasonous JUDGE accepted it and let him go.

I am disgusted by Muslim polygamy for men. I lived near a Muslim male who didn't seem to work but had 4 wives and endless children all on us!
It would stop if women had any self respect and refused to be involved and exposed hubby but they don't and some even agree because allah said it's OK!
Tragically even non-Muslim girls are sucked in by Muslim men. I know a well educated young woman who went back to Pakistan to marry her Muslim Pakistani boyfriend who works in Australia. She had a Muslim wedding, and denied her distraught parents and wider family in Australia any involvement at all just to please her Muslim boyfirend. Of course, he can go to Pakistan and marry any other females he likes and divorce her whenever he likes as all he has to do is give a letter to the appropriate imam saying he's divorced her. She may not even know the divorce has occurred! He could continue living with her in Australia and have multiple other wives here or elsewhere and of course there's those mu'ta and misyar marriages ...
It's an abuse of women and a rort where Muslim men breed from multiple women rapidly increasing Muslim numbers in Australia.
Clearly our laws must be altered to stop this but with the current Islam grovelling labor governments there's little chance of that. If Allah meant men to have four wives, why didn't He arrange it so that four times as many females as males are born? Obviously Allah had some other plan...I KNOW! With polygamy, some men could not find a wife at all, and so they were obliged to emigrate and use their charm to seduce the women of other peoples. Good thinking, Allah; the men learn to be charming, the babies are all Muslim, and the shortage of women never ceases. Bingo: add a sword or two and how can Islam fail?

I know an ex-Muslim who left Islam precisely because she met a Christian who said that the Creator meant for marriage to mean one man-one woman. She thought about it for a while and was convinced, on the grounds of natural law, that the Muslim polygamy thing was morally wrong. She left Islam and married the fellow who had invited her to think about it all and is happily married after 30 years with 10 children.[No kidding] Of course, her Muslim family disowned her, but by now she was living in the west, and was safer than if she had remained in her original country of Iran.
