Far too true Colonel! As soon as I saw this stadium I thought of the stadium in Afghanistan where the Taliban---the closest yet to a pure Islamic state according to Abu Baker Bashir and others---took females and executed them in front of the cheering crowds of men! I am reading a book about the characteristics of the psychopathic personality.I know, it is a strange thing to do on a weekend. I have to say, though it is a different subject in some respects - in other respects, I am often jolted into thinking that what Islam advocates and its attitudes is a very streamlined way of behaving in a psychopathic way. I say 'psychopathic way' because in reality, the brains of psychopaths are different from those of others - in not responding to emotion, not having a conscience, not having empathy, not showing remorse, enjoying the thrill of creating havoc and destruction. The thing is, that brain scans show that those areas of the brain which should function when matters of emotion, empathy and conscience are concerned - simply do not do so, or do so minimally.
Psychopaths are more or less born that way and can do no better - they have some excuse for their appalling behaviouurs.
Now where Islam is concerned - you have the actual teaching of a lack of empathy to Jews, Christians, non Muslims and so on - you have an inculcation of a lack of fundamental moral norms in regard to those one designates as enemies and then you get people cheering in the Muslim world at the site of wanton destruction initiated by suicide bombers. Actually, while I have used the word psychopathic here - there is a case for using the word 'sociopathic'- something very similar to psychopathic - in relation to Muslims - the sociopath has all the psychopathic features listed above but tends to acquire them through validation of a soial group - i.e. may not necessarily be born with them. It is a vexed question.
However, in Islam we have a global belief system that has institutionalised sociopathic/psychopathic behaviours towards those it designates enemies - and has even claimed Allah told them to behave this way. I mean Hitler showed sociopathic/psychopathic features but he never told the Nazis that 'God told me so' - it was Hitler's sick view, pure and simple and people who came out of it after the war, like Albert Speer, realised they had been under the sway of a very powerful, evil, charismatic man.
Now, this is the problem we are faced with in Islam - who can counter this false belief Muslims hold, that Allah tells them to kill men ,women and children who are not like them? Secondly, how do you get Western governments to wake up to the fact that we have features of sociopathic/psychopathic behaviour in Islam? Thirdly, once ou do realise, what do you do about it? Our problem in the West is that we have not diagnosed this sociopathy, but instead call it a religion and give it deference and respect.

Dead right, Hugo. Islam is, at the moment, enabled by idiocies to masquerade as a religion, which is not only a travesty of the common understanding, but also a dire threat to societies based on non-sociopathic foundations - the Judeo-Christian springing to mind! I constantly have reason to be gob-smacked by the refusal of, seemingly, intelligent people to see islam for what it is.
How often do we hear the idiomatic expression "what part of kill don't you understand" before it becomes back-ground noise and looses any effect? I think it's already happened.
Our world, for many decades now, has been one that reels under an information barrage - most of which is dross, titilations and droppings from the big table. For all our "news services" we are actually dumber and less informed, as a nation, these days.
No wonder then, that the message about islam fails to register.
Public information campaigns.
I intend to host a few "film nights" when my copy of "The Third Jihad" arrives, coupled with "Obsession".
Tea and scones not provided but gratefully accepted.
I would love to have a co-host or two, if you aren't busy!!!!

Yes, it's been a depressing week, what with the Emirates Cup madness and people ignoring the elephant, but instead obsessing about the horses and the fashions. And then of course the US elections, which will directly affect us, and look likely to deliver the Islamists a victory in the form of Obama, who even if he isn't actually a Muslim (and that's doubtful given his father was a Muslim and he was registered as a Muslim in Indonesia), has associations with Nation of Islam, Rashid Khalidi, CAIR and many other unsavoury Islamist supporting mates.
