Islam & Aboriginality - 2

E-mail Print PDF
Islam destroys Aboriginality - Negative impact of Islam:  Part 2 of 3
Prau
The first encounter with Muslim traders disrupted Aboriginal ‘balance’, left evil in their world and a belief that they were ‘black’ and would be forever impoverished and dominated. eg:

“In the here and now, there will always be strife, poverty and domination by Others. This, I suggest, is a previously unrecorded legacy of contact between Aborigines and Indonesians.” Australian Folklore 11, 1996 131)
(See Part 1)
Why would Aborigines convert to an ideology that was so disruptive and destroyed their self-respect and sense of control?  Because they don’t know the truth about this Arab supremist ideology that has destroyed cultures the world over!  Islam plays on any sense of alienation or anger, that’s why it’s so good at recruiting from jails! The negative impact of Islam both on Aboriginal culture and throughout the world is hidden.

Yemen - Arab slave market
13th century slave market in Yemen

Islam’s true impact on Aboriginality:
1)  Destructive impact on Aboriginal society and psyche.  Part 1 showed clearly that early exposure to Islam caused the Aborigines to lose their pride and wealth.  They now labelled themselves as black, impoverished, dominated, and slaves of the Muslim Macassan ‘white’ other.  They believed evil had entered their world forever.  They modified dreamtime stories to try to explain and cope with this altered, deprived world view.

2) Islam endorses paedophilia, violence to females, rape, polygamy...
“In both Aboriginal and Muslim cultures arranged marriages were customary, wives were usually considerably younger than their husbands, and polygamy was widely practised”. (Ms Stephenson’s paper at the Brisbane Conference on Islam in Australia)
We have heard of child sexual abuse, violence to children and women, rape and polygamy within some Aboriginal tribes, all fully endorsed in Islamic text, Mohammad’s perfect example and Islamic law – NO alcohol needed!(eg Islamic text, law - beat children over 10 years who don’t pray, sura 4.34 beat women, sex with captured females/slaves is fully endorsed in the koran, hadith, law, paedophilia-see references etc!!) Did Aboriginals learn this from Islam?  Is this what they wish to return to??  Are these the ‘complementary tribal laws’ they want to see continue??  The abuse and restriction of women in Islam is unbelievable:
*Bukhari Vol 7 Book 72 No.  715,  Aisha stated   "I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women'
Is this what Aboriginal women want---their shameful bodies covered in the heat and the abuse!

3) Alcohol abuse:  Part 1 showed that the Macassan Muslim traders brought alcohol and tobacco.  Did they use alcohol to ‘control’/’pay’ the Aborigines while they took Aboriginal wealth/women?  Did they start the alcohol problem?  Only in ahadith is alcohol haram.  Other religions ban alcohol eg Buddhists, Hindus, some Christian groups...but in an adult world, banning is not necessary.  There should be responsible drinking like responsible driving –no god or prophet needed!  (Note heavy involvement of Islamic countries, Muslims in drug trade)

4) Islam, religion of the oppressor is racist, Arab supremist , Imperialist and supports slavery:
The last place to find ‘black’ pride is in the Arab supremist, black slave-trading religion of Islam!

In Ms Stephenson’s paper Aboriginal Muslims claim Islam is pure, untainted by racism and colonialism and is the religion of the oppressed.  Clearly these Aborigines have absolutely NO idea of Islam’s text, laws or imperialist history!  Did Muslim Macassan traders teach Aborigines they were ‘black’ and inferior? (part 1)

Black Slaves
Group of Slaves with their Muslim Arab handlers - Zanzibar, 1850-1890

Islam is incredibly racist (see circe: Islam is Racist).  Do Aboriginals know that Mohammad is a ‘white’ Arab who had black slaves and referred to a black woman as an epidemic?  Black and slave are synonymous in Arabic thanks to a massive on-going slave trade for 1400 years!
Do they know Mohammad had sex with his slaves (Mary bore him a child) and had his slaves flogged?
Do they know allah makes your face white if you are going to paradise and BLACK if you are going to HELL? (Koran 3.106;   39.60).

Are black people in the slums of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates etc ‘uplifted.’     Aborigines have far more chance here where laws give equality and freedom!   A British Muslim , Ed Hussain, found racism, sexual hypocrisy, and widespread jihadist sentiment when he worked in Saudi Arabia.  Africans lived slums full of poverty, prostitution and disease.  He noted terms of abuse for Africans.  'The racist reality of the Arab psyche would never accept black and white people as equal'....He compared this with the freedom and support given to black Muslims in non-Muslim Britain. ("How a British jihadi saw the light,"  the Times )  Black African Muslims rejected by their Muslim brothers (Egypt, Saudi Arabia) head to Israel!

Westerners bought slaves from Arab Islamic traders.  The Islamic slave trade has enslaved many millions more people, black, white/European, Asian and still counting yet we never hear about it!   Slaves were a valuable asset in the USA and their descendents live freely today but where are the millions taken to Saudi Arabia, etc?

How I wish Aborigines could briefly experience the same joy of Islam as the black slaves (Muslim and non-Muslim) still taken from the Sudan and Mauritania (and elsewhere)!

Slavery was standard for thousands of years but beginning pre-Islam Christian groups questioned and even banned slavery, finally abolishing it in the west.  Today’s Islamic countries that have outwardly ‘banned’ slavery did so under the influence (sometimes military) of the west.  In reality slavery continues in the Islamic world (openly or hidden) as it is allowed by allah himself and slaves are promised as part of the booty (Koran, ahadith, laws)!   Some slaves have escaped after being brought into the west! Eg Sudanese Muslim Mende Nazer in Britain (book ‘Slave’ 2004) and see Spencer’s article ‘Slavery, Christianity and Islam’ (Slavery, Christianity, and Islam ).

Mundine
Seriously confused Mundine (another Muslim "convert") holding a book about Malcolm X

Several Aboriginal Muslims claimed they were influenced by the book Malcolm X (19/5/1925-21/2/1965)- the story of a black American who committed a crime, and converted to Islam in prison.  Sadly he was ignorant of Islam’s racism, endorsement of slavery, long slave trade and oppression of others.  He failed to credit white Christians with the abolition of slavery (200 years ago) in the western world as their text proclaimed all equal, or the important supporting role of Christians, Jews, ‘whites’ in the ‘ black rights’ movement.   Did Malcolm know that
“The first legally recognized slave in the American colonies was owned by a black man who had himself arrived as an indentured servant.” (Slavery, Christianity, and Islam)

5) Aboriginality swapped for Arab culture:
Islamic text describes Arabs as the best of people!  Islam is an Arab supremist ideology.   The true koran and prayers are in Arabic.  Muslims turn to Arabia to pray five times a day with associated absurd washing requirements according to allah’s demands.  Arab culture and set, discriminatory laws are imposed on all.   How do you maintain ‘Aboriginality’ by following the endless dictates of an Arab supremist ideology?

Aborigines would lose everything if  Islam gained an influence.  Sheik Hilali has already claimed the land for Islam.

6) No Art, music, dancing
Islam (hadith, laws) bans all representations of humans and other animals –throw out that aboriginal art!  It bans music and it certainly won’t tolerate near naked painted people, particularly women, dancing yet these are integral parts of ‘Aboriginality.’

7) Dreamtime stories, characters and gods will be destroyed:
Such beliefs will be regarded as paganism or idolatry and Islam has absolutely no tolerance of paganism, or otheGenocide in West Papua gods!  (koran, hadith, laws)

Sayyeed Hashem Nasserallah in the Australian Muslim Times (19th April 1991):
… Islam does not consider idolatry as a form of religion, but as a deviation, a disease and a myth. Islam perceives that a group of people should not be allowed to tread the path of deviation and myth but that they should be stopped. That is why Islam called the idol-worshippers to the unity of God and if they did not heed there would be recourse to force where the idols would be smashed and the temples destroyed. Islam attempted to prevent any appearance of the elements of idol worship in order to destroy the source of this spiritual and mental disease.’

So much for celebrating aboriginal culture and supposedly validating traditional belief systems!   Islam will destroy it all in contrast to western  efforts to preserve it.

Ms Stephenson’s conference paper (3-5/3/08) and the Sydney Morning Herald (4/5/07) ‘A New faith for Kooris’) both ignore the truth about Islam and its negative impact and treat us to an absurd array of reasons to convert-part 3.

Islam strips independent thought, freedom of expression, freedom of belief and freedom of action from its adherents as everything must comply with its dictates.   Because our Aboriginals have not lived under the joy of Islam, they have no idea of the reality of this utterly repressive, totalitarian, slave-trading, racist ideology and fall prey to those who sell the Islam good, west bad lie.   Hopefully the vast majority of Aborigines are too smart to fall for this and won’t give up their freedom and future to become slaves of Islam.

Thank you Circe. I like the information that you put out. Islam is tyrannical to the core, isn't it? Some day Islam will disappear, thanks to people like you who take the time to expose this horrendous evil.

Did you know that Muslim men also like to wear the burqa? Yes, but only when they rob a bank, or commit some other evil.

Circe,
Thank you for this insightful and thought-provoking article. It's amazing to think that for years we've been fed the idea that Australians are responsible for the pitiful state of Aborigines.

It comes as a surprise (but also makes perfect sense) to contemplate that some of the worst aspects of Aboriginal society - child sexual abuse, violence to children and women, rape and polygamy - could be directly attributable to their contact with Muslims.

But of course, if we accepted this view, the black armband view of history would be dismantled. Could it be that the terrible imperialist, colonialist West wasn't so bad after all?

'Black and slave are synonymous in Arabic thanks to a massive on-going slave trade for 1400 years! '

Circe, many would not be aware of the depth of racism towards blacks in Islam's 'holy' books. Also Islam never had a William Wilberforce, a Pope Eugene IV (who condemned slavery in On January 13, 1435, in a document called 'Sicut Dudum'), or other anti-slavers in the west. Slavery is endorsed in the Qur'an and of course, those words cannot be altered as they are the words of Allah.

Thank you for this perceptive and thorough study of this little known aspect of Islam. australia's Kooris would be well advised to steer clear of Muslims - they will only bring them grief in the end. Some whites were not good to them and there is much to make up for - but the past sorrow will not be healed by adopting a racist ideology which masquerades as one preaching equality. The Islamists are hypocrites and will not tell you their real attitudes - please, Aboriginal brothers and sisters, stay away from them.

Circe,
You touch on a good point in relation to aboriginal art, music and dancing.
If they converted to Islam when Ms Stephenson suggested there should be no art work, dancing etc. Also, why dont aboriginal women wear hijabs and burkhas etc?
Maybe it is Ms Stephenson who is in dreamtime!
From my sources in North Queensland, these beliefs are not evident within the aboriginal and Torress Straight islanders (thank goodness).

Of course you are right.
The "Islamic" influence was only very superficial.
First of all the communication between the Macassans and the Aboriginals was very limited due to the fact that so called pidgin Macassan consisted of very few words.
Also, the Macassans had never been interested in settling in, and treated Australian shore as a hunting grounds.

We also need to remember that despite their certain superiority in weaponry and technology, the Macassans were in minority and had to treat the locals with certain restrains.

There are entries in Flinder's diary where he recorded meetings Macassans, who referred to the Aborigines with an open contempt and disdain.

Indeed the Macassans impacted severely on northern tribes and some aspects of their culture/language were taken up but the Aborigines did NOT become Islamic----they rejected it once and hopefully will reject it again!

I have a Torres Strait Islander family member who tells me that there are Muslims in the islands but most people ignore them---let's hope it stays that way! But, as those who study Islam know, Islam comes to control, to dominate so no doubt they will get lots of money from outside and will be working away quietly under the radar preparing....

It is essential that Aborigines hear about the real Islam---racist, slave-trading, violent to women and girls, intolerant to others, totalitarian so they are not prey to tales of nasty west, good Islam. Yes, they have suffered and we wish them a future as respected, equal citizens with all rights in this lovely country---Islam offers only inferiority to white Arabs, an Arab ideology, and absurd dictates that control every aspect of life (with severe punishments for any deviation) while destroying many activities, beliefs and freedoms that Aborigines and other free citizens of Australia enjoy!

Do you have any references to Flinders diary about the Macassans?

Certainly - from the horse's mouth (to quote our dhimmi "friend" Ferguson:

Matthew Flinders

A Voyage to Terra Australis, Book 2

[NORTH COAST. ENGLISH COMPANY'S ISLANDS.]

After clearing the narrow passage between Cape Wilberforce and Bromby's
Isles, we followed the main coast to the S. W.; having on the starbord
hand some high and large islands, which closed in towards the coast ahead
so as to make it doubtful whether there were any passage between them.
Under the nearest island was perceived a canoe full of men; and in a sort
of roadsted, at the south end of the same island, there were six vessels
covered over like hulks, as if laid up for the bad season. Our
conjectures were various as to who those people could be, and what their
business here; but we had little doubt of their being the same, whose
traces had been found so abundantly in the Gulph. I had inclined to the
opinion that these traces had been left by Chinese, and the report of the
natives in Caledon Bay that they had fire arms, strengthened the
supposition; and combining this with the appearance of the vessels, I set
them down for piratical Ladrones who secreted themselves here from
pursuit, and issued out as the season permitted, or prey invited them.
Impressed with this idea, we tacked to work up for the road; and our
pendant and ensign being hoisted, each of them hung out a small white
flag. On approaching, I sent lieutenant Flinders in an armed boat, to
learn who they were; and soon afterward we came to an anchor in 12
fathoms, within musket shot; having a spring on the cable, and all hands
at quarters.

Every motion in the whale boat, and in the vessel along-side which she
was lying, was closely watched with our glasses, but all seemed to pass
quietly; and on the return of lieutenant Flinders, we learned that they
were prows from Macassar, and the six Malay commanders shortly afterwards
came on board in a canoe. It happened fortunately that my cook was a
Malay, and through his means I was able to communicate with them. The
chief of the six prows was a short, elderly man, named _Pobassoo_; he
said there were upon the coast, in different divisions, sixty prows, and
that _Salloo_ was the commander in chief. These people were Mahometans,
and on looking into the launch, expressed great horror to see hogs there;
nevertheless they had no objection to port wine, and even requested a
bottle to carry away with them at sunset.

The weather continued squally all night, with frequent heavy rain, and
the wind blew strong; but coming off the islands, the ship rode easily.
In the morning [FRIDAY 18 FEBRUARY 1803], I went on board Pobassoo's
vessel, with two of the gentlemen and my interpreter, to make further
inquiries; and afterwards the six chiefs came to the Investigator, and
several canoes were along-side for the purpose of barter. Before noon,
five other prows steered into the road from the S. W., anchoring near the
former six; and we had more people about the ship than I chose to admit
on board, for each of them wore a short dagger or cress by his side. My
people were under arms, and the guns were exercised and a shot fired at
the request of the chiefs; in the evening they all retired quietly, but
our guns were kept ready and half the people at quarters all night. The
weather was very rainy; and towards morning [SATURDAY 19 FEBRUARY 1803],
much noise was heard amongst the prows. At daylight they got under sail,
and steered through the narrow passage between Cape Wilberforce and
Bromby's Isles, by which we had come; and afterwards directed their
course south-eastward into the Gulph of Carpentaria.

My desire to learn every thing concerning these people, and the strict
look-out which it had been necessary to keep upon them, prevented me
attending to any other business during their stay. According to Pobassoo,
from whom my information was principally obtained, sixty prows belonging
to the Rajah of Boni, and carrying one thousand men, had left Macassar
with the north-west monsoon, two months before, upon an expedition to
this coast; and the fleet was then lying in different places to the
westward, five or six together, Pobasso's division being the foremost.
These prows seemed to be about twenty-five tons, and to have twenty or
twenty-five men in each; that of Pobassoo carried two small brass guns,
obtained from the Dutch, but the others had only muskets; besides which,
every Malay wears a cress or dagger, either secretly or openly. I
inquired after bows and arrows, and the _ippo_ poison, but they had none
of them; and it was with difficulty they could understand what was meant
by the _ippo_.

The object of their expedition was a certain marine animal, called
_trepang_. Of this they gave me two dried specimens; and it proved to be
the _beche-de-mer_, or sea cucumber which we had first seen on the reefs
of the East Coast, and had afterwards hauled on shore so plentifully with
the seine, especially in Caledon Bay. They get the _trepang_ by diving,
in from 3 to 8 fathoms water; and where it is abundant, a man will bring
up eight or ten at a time. The mode of preserving it is this: the animal
is split down one side, boiled, and pressed with a weight of stones; then
stretched open by slips of bamboo, dried in the sun, and afterwards in
smoke, when it is fit to be put away in bags, but requires frequent
exposure to the sun. A thousand trepang make a _picol_, of about 125
Dutch pounds; and one hundred picols are a cargo for a prow. It is
carried to Timor, and sold to the Chinese, who meet them there; and when
all the prows are assembled, the fleet returns to Macassar. By Timor,
seemed to be meant Timor-laoet; for when I inquired concerning the
English, Dutch, and Portuguese there, Pobassoo knew nothing of them: he
had heard of Coepang, a Dutch settlement, but said it was upon another
island.

There are two kinds of trepang. The black, called _baatoo_, is sold to
the Chinese for forty dollars the picol; the white, or grey, called
_koro_, is worth no more than twenty. The _baatoo_ seems to be what we
found upon the coral reefs near the Northumberland Islands; and were a
colony established in Broad Sound or Shoalwater Bay, it might perhaps
derive considerable advantage from the trepang. In the Gulph of
Carpentaria, we did not observe any other than the _koro_, or grey slug.

Pobassoo had made six or seven voyages from Macassar to this coast,
within the preceding twenty years, and he was one of the first who came;
but had never seen any ship here before. This road was the first
rendezvous for his division, to take in water previously to going into
the Gulph. One of their prows had been lost the year before, and much
inquiry was made concerning the pieces of wreck we had seen; and a
canoe's rudder being produced, it was recognised as having belonged to
her. They sometimes had skirmishes with the native inhabitants of the
coast; Pobassoo himself had been formerly speared in the knee, and a man
had been slightly wounded since their arrival in this road: they
cautioned us much to beware of the natives.*

[* A question suggests itself here: Could the natives of the west side of
the Gulph of Carpentaria have learned the rite of circumcision from these
Malay Mahometans? From the short period that the latter had frequented
the coast, and the nature of the intercourse between the two people, it
seems to me very little probable.]

They had no knowledge of any European settlement in this country; and on
learning the name Port Jackson, the son of Pobassoo made a memorandum of
it as thus, (foreign characters), writing from left to right. Until this
time, that some nutmegs were shown to them, they did not know of their
being produced here; nor had they ever met with cocoa nuts, bananas, or
other edible fruits or vegetables; fish, and sometimes turtle, being all
they procured. I inquired if they knew of any rivers or openings leading
far inland, if they made charts of what they saw, or used any charts? To
all which Pobassoo answered in the negative. There was a river at Timor,
into which the ship could go; and he informed me of two turtle islands,
one of them not far to the north-west of our situation in the road; the
other would be seen from the mast head as we sailed along the shore.

I could find no other nautical instrument amongst them than a very small
pocket compass, apparently of Dutch manufacture; by this their course is
directed at sea, without the aid of any chart or astronomical
observation. They carry a month's water, in joints of bamboo; and their
food is rice, cocoa nuts, and dried fish, with a few fowls for the
chiefs. The black _gummotoo_ rope, of which we had found pieces at Sir
Edward Pellew's Group, was in use on board the prows; and they said it
was made from the same palm whence the sweet syrup, called _gulah_, is
obtained.

My numberless questions were answered patiently, and with apparent
sincerity; Pobassoo even stopped one day longer at my desire, than he had
intended, for the north-west monsoon, he said, would not blow quite a
month longer, and he was rather late. I rewarded his trouble and that of
his companions with several presents, principally iron tools, which they
seemed anxious to possess; and he begged of me an English jack, which he
afterwards carried at the head of his squadron. He also expressed a
desire for a letter, to show to any other ship he might meet; and I
accordingly wrote him a note to captain Baudin, whom it seemed probable
he might encounter in the Gulph, either going or returning.
