Petitioning Australia to support Jihad

E-mail Print PDF
I’ve heard some pretty silly things in my time, but this must rank as the silliest.
Western Idiocy in action
Sonia Karkar, of Women for Palestine, is seeking support for a motion supporting Palestine.

Let’s first look at the facts, something Islamists and their dhimmi friends find somewhat inconvenient, but which can be located in any serious book written before post-modernism and historical revisionism took hold. Here are a few to ponder: (read more HERE)

“Did you know that there was never any country called Palestine… and no such thing as a Palestinian people?

The idea that the West Bank and Gaza are occupied Palestinian land, and that the Palestinian people are fighting for their land,… are the biggest lies ever deliberately perpetrated on humanity."
…the Jews did not displace anyone… It was a land inhabited by nomadic, Bedouin tribes… Only about 120,000 Arabs resided in an area that covered the state of Israel, territories, and Jordan.
During the 19 years that the territories – including Jerusalem and Gaza – were occupied by the kingdoms of Jordan and Egypt, no one talked about a Palestinian state … Nobody asked Jordan orTemple Mount around 1875 Egypt to abdicate their ownership and give it to the Palestinians. Not even the Palestinians themselves said anything about it.

The fact simply is that there are no Palestinians. These people are Arabs like all other Arabs, who happen to live in a region called Palestine. They are not a separate people. They speak the same language, practice the same religion, have the same culture, etc., as all the other Arabs… The so-called Palestinians want a separate country because they claim to be a separate nation. They are not. They were never a separate people before the new state of Israel. How did they become one now?

Because of these lies, the so-called Palestinians feel justified in sending suicide bombers to kill women, children, babies, old men, old women and noncombatant citizens…
Israel did not go to war against a Palestinian state and occupy its land. Rather, Israel was attacked by six Arab countries at once. She defended herself, defeated her attackers, and won the so-called territories, not from the Palestinians, but from Jordan and Egypt.

Jerusalem was never the capital of any state but Israel. It was certainly never the capital of a country that never existed. Why should the Palestinians get any part of it? Because they want it? Because they have terrorists?

Most Arabs living in Palestine today are not indigenous to the region. It was not until after the Jews had changed deserts and swamps into a productive and thriving land that the Arabs started migrating there. Arafat himself was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt.

Unless the Arabs recognize and accept these truths, even if they are given a state of their own…they will continue to plot and look for an opportunity to destroy Israel in order to take back what they claim is theirs, especially the younger generation that has been brainwashed to hate the “occupying enemy.”

Only a massive and ongoing re-education of the Arab people to these truths will enable meaningful negotiations to begin, followed by a lasting peace between Arabs and Jews.

For a more detailed account, see 1948, Israel, and the Palestinians - The True Story By Efraim KARSH

A few brief points from Karsh’s article will suffice here:

"The recent declassification of millions of documents from the period of the British Mandate (1920-1948) and Israel’s early days, ignored or distorted by the “new historians,”.. reveal that the claim of dispossession is not only completely unfounded but the inverse of the truth

By the time of Israel’s declaration of independence on May 14,1948… none of the 170,000-180,000 Arabs fleeing urban centers, and only a handful of the 130,000-160,000 villagers who left their homes, had been forced out by the Jews.

… huge numbers of Palestinian Arabs were being actively driven from their homes by their own leaders …whether out of military considerations  or in order to prevent them from becoming citizens of the prospective Jewish state.

Sixty years after their dispersion, the refugees of 1948 and their descendants remain in the squalid camps where they have been kept by their fellow Arabs for decades, nourished on hate and false hope. Meanwhile, their erstwhile leaders have squandered successive opportunities for statehood.

The Butcher It is indeed the tragedy of the Palestinians that the two leaders who determined their national development during the 20th century—Hajj Amin Husseini and Yasir Arafat,—were megalomaniacal extremists blinded by anti-Jewish hatred and profoundly obsessed with violence…. Had Arafat set the PLO from the start on the path to peace and reconciliation, instead of turning it into one of the most murderous terrorist organizations in modern times, a Palestinian state could have been established…

…PLO officials used the billions of dollars donated by the Arab oil states and, during the Oslo era, by the international community to finance their luxurious style of life while ordinary Palestinians scrambled for a livelihood.

And so it goes. Six decades after the mufti and his henchmen condemned their people to statelessness by rejecting the UN partition resolution, their reckless decisions are being reenacted by the latest generation of Palestinian leaders;  not only Hamas… but also the supposedly moderate Palestinian leadership—which refuses to recognize Israel’s very existence as a Jewish state and insists on the full implementation of the “right of return.”

And Western anti-Zionists who in the name of justice (no less) call today not for a new and fundamentally different Arab leadership but for the dismantlement of the Jewish state. Only when these dispositions change can Palestinian Arabs realistically look forward to putting their self-inflicted “catastrophe” behind them.”

One such “new historian”, Benny Morris, has been honest enough to change his perspective after reviewing recently released archives (i.e. documents containing historical facts!) and concludes:
"Their rejection of the creation of a binational state with political parity between the two communities was deep-seated, consensual and consistent….It has become clear to me that from the start the struggle against the Zionist enterprise wasn't merely a national conflict between two peoples over a piece of territory but also a religious crusade against an infidel usurper.  As early as Dec 2, 1947, four days after the passage of the partition resolution the scholars of Al Azhar University proclaimed a "worldwide jihad in defence of Arab Palestine" and declared that it was the duty of every Muslim to take part.
This history has deepened and reinforced my pessimism, itself bred by the failure of Oslo.  Those currently riding high in the region-figures like Hamas's Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Meshaal. Hizbutllah's Hassan Nasrallah and Iran's Mahmood Ahmadinejad-are true believers who are convinced it is Allah's command and every Muslim's duty to extirpate the "Zionist entity" from the sacred soil of the Middle East."

"Palestinian Martyrs"

But of course these historical facts mean nothing to Karkar and her mates:

“It is one week to go before al-Nakba and we still have not heard from the Prime Minister or Dr Nelson about any intention to support our Palestine motion….. Get Up and the media wouldn’t help..”
Well, blow me down, even our left-leaning dhimmi media and mega-loony Get Up won’t support this jihadi initiative.
So Karkar suggests writing something along the following lines:

We endorse the request for a bipartisan motion in our parliament that would acknowledge 60 years of Palestinian suffering caused by the catastrophic upheaval of their society known as al-Nakba in 1948. We believe that although symbolic, it would send the Palestinians everywhere a much-needed message of compassion, support and hope for a better future.

She is joined in this initiative by Assoc Professor Bassam Dally, along with Women for Palestine, Australian Friends of Palestine and Australians for Palestine.

Before you rush off to support this motion, ask yourself:

Why support racism and repression over freedom and democracy?

Strange how academics generally support jihad. Don’t ask me why. For instance, the University of California allows the terrorist-supporting Muslim Student Union (MSU) to hold events whose sole aim is to denounce Israel and America, and this year they will host a series of programs entitled “Never Again? The Palestinian Holocaust.” Among the speakers will be Amir Abdel Malik Ali and Muhammed Al-Asi, famed for extolling suicide bombers, and the notorious Norman Finkelstein, supporter of Hezbollah.

But fightback is beginning: the David Horowitz Freedom Center together with the Zionist Organization of America, will host a documentary screening of “The Suicide Killers”, and afterwards Egyptian-born  Nonie Darwish, author of Now they Call Me Infidel: Why I Renounced Jihad for America, Israel and the War on Terror, will take part in a discussion about Islam and the poisonous culture of hatred in the Middle-East. Horowitz’ Center will be asking the MSU to sign the “Declaration Against Genocide,” calling on student Muslim groups to repudiate the sections of the Hadith which call for Muslims to massacre Jews, as well as condemning the Hamas charter, which calls for the destruction of Israel, and to deplore Ahmadinejad’s threat to wipe Israel and America off the face of the earth. (reference)

How can Australia start to fight back? Maybe we could start with a bipartisan motion in the Australian Parliament recognising that Palestinian suffering was caused by their leaders’ violence, and urging the current leaders to renounce violence and reject their ideology of hatred.

Our own Mal Fraser, Islamist supporter extraordinaire (see AIM Article: Australians All) and Australia’s answer to Jimmy Carter, weighed in on the subject:
“Since the start of the war on terror, US policies have become increasingly unrealistic, branding people as terrorists to be beaten with guns..Hamas won a legitimate election in early 2006….. The West… betrayed its own principles by making it plain that democracy was only acceptable if it gave the kind of result that Israel and the US wanted…It would have been possible to say to Hamas: a number of your policies must change but we welcome your participation in the democratic process and we are therefore prepared to talk and explore possible areas of agreement. This approach would have given Hamas an alternative to violence…
Hamas has supported a ceasefire. But this was rejected out of hand as a subterfuge for gaining time to reorganise and rearm.. There must be talks leading to negotiations involving all the players including Hamas..
Against this modern-day tragedy, it is important for countries such as Australia to be even-handed. That is why I support the appeal for the Australian Parliament to pass a resolution recognising the hardships of the Palestinian people and committing Australia to work for a fair and peaceful resolution and the establishment of a viable independent state for Palestinians.” (source)

I’d like to end with a reminder of the reality of jihad, experienced by one family (see Melbourne-born girl killed by jihad) A new film,  'Hot House', examines the lives of Palestinians inside Israeli prisons, and to promote the movie, a glamour-style poster shows a smiling young woman in her twenties. Arnold Roth, father of a murder victim Malki, fills in the background:
“That female is our child's murderer. …15 people were killed and more than 100 maimed and injured by the actions of this attractive person and her associates.
…Neither the New York Times (which reviewed the film) nor HBO (the producers) are likely to give even a moment's attention to the victims of the barbarians who destroyed the Sbarro restaurant in Jerusalem and the lives of so many victims.”
Roth wants people to see pictures of Malki:
"She was unable to reach her twenties - Hamas saw to that. Though she was only fifteen years old when her life was stolen from her and from us, we think Malki was a beautiful young woman, living a beautiful life. We ask your help so that other people - far fewer than the number who will see the New York Times, of course - can know about her. Please ask your friends to look at the pictures - some of the very few we have - of our murdered daughter. (They are at THIS SITE)

So before you rush to support this manufactured “Palestinian” cause, remember that you are on the side of barbaric genocidal murderers. And don’t believe for one moment that once these butchers have massacred all the Israelis and Jews, they won’t turn their attention to you.

To slightly misquote Pastor NieMoeller, whose poem is inscribed at the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston, Massachusetts :
They came first for the Israelis,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Israeli.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the non-Christians,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a non-Christian.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up. (source)

So speak up now! Speak up against the barbarity that is Islamofascism!

Speak up against groups like Friends of Palestine, who spread lies and propaganda to influence the naïve and the vulnerable.

Otherwise, when the jihadists come for you, there will be no-one left to speak up for you!

Islamists and anti-Semites often use the argument which states that 60 years ago there was not a state called Israel.

Well, in fact most of the present day Arab countries also did not exist (we can argue about Egypt). No Iraq, no Syria, no Saudi Arabia, no Jordan and definitely no Palestine.

Unlike the Arab-Muslim countries though, Israel existed as a state and unlike the Muslim Arabs the Jews can be recognized as the indigenous people of the region.

Islamist these day do not want any Muslim states either - the return og the Caliphate is their goal.

This is an interesting article dealing with politics/strategy to eleminate Israel by Zuhair Mohsen, leader of the pro-Syrian Palestine guerilla organisation, Al Saika.

March 31, 1977 Trouwe magazine/newspaper

Zuhair Mohsen puts his trust in Syria

We are Palestinians just for a political objective

By James Dorsey

“He is our leader. Many thousands, just like me, believe in him” This is said by one of the 5 bodyguards of Zuhair Mohsen, leader of the pro-Syrian Palestine guerilla organisation, Al Saika.

Mohsen, who heads the military operations branch of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) and is also a member of its executive committee, was in Cairo for a meeting of the Palestine National Council.

In spite of the trust his followers put in him and his important position inside the movement (“if I don't urge people to make a decision, they won't”) he may not have been totally at ease in Cairo. He was not very cordially treated by his Palestine friends during the council meetings there.

Mohsen and his Palestinian guerilla fighters belong politically to the governing Baath party in Syria. Within the PLO he protects Syrian interests. Many, within the Palestinian resistance, did not forget the events that occurred during the Lebanese civil war when Syrian forces turned against the alliance of the Palestinians with the Lebanese left.

There occurred several clashes between Al Saika and the largest Palestinian guerilla organisation, Al Fatah.

During that civil war there were repeated rumours that the Damascus regime wished to see PLO leader Yassir Arafat replaced by Mohsen.

Aversion
In spite of the apparent unity at that Palestine congress between Saika and most other Palestinian groups, many Palestinian leaders did not bother to hide their aversion to Al Saika. A clear sign of strained internal relations appeared when, immediately after the murder of left Lebanese leader Kamal Jumbalatt, Fatah’s representative in Cairo, Rihbi Awad, shouted that "the murderers are among us" while pointing in the direction of Mohsen and his followers.

The causes of the differences of opinion within the Palestinian movement have deeper roots than the war in Lebanon. In the whole concept of Arab nationalism, Ba'athist style, Mohsen actually stands closer to the supporters of the no concession idea - a group he describes as romanticists and fascists - than to the ideological program of the Fatah group.

"We believe that first of all the Palestinians should cooperate with Syria and only then with other Arab nations. Only Syria can play an effective role in the conflict against Israel. We can not operate out of Egypt. Syria is for the Palestinians the most important base, since the beginning of the struggle against the Zionist invaders in 1918."

Not a people
Mohsen's attitude is not so amazing. By listening to his political and ideological views one can not suppress the feeling that perhaps much less has changed in the Arabic world than previously thought. According to Mohsen there is no such thing as a distinct Palestinian people.

"There is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese.

We are part of one nation, the Arab people. I myself have relatives with Palestinian, Lebanese, Jordanian and Syrian citizenship. We are one people. Just for political reasons we endorse our Palestinian identity. This is because it is in the national Arab interest to stimulate the existence of Palestinians as opposed to Zionism. Yes, the creation of a distinct Palestinian identity had only tactical reasons. The creation of a Palestinian state is a new means to continue the fight for Arab unity and against Israel.”

Mohsen’s logic is actually quite simple: "Because Golda Meir states that there is no such thing as a Palestinian people, I say that there is a Palestinian people, different from Jordan."

Strategy
Also, Mohsen's strategy is quite simple: “A separate Palestinian entity should protect the national interests inside the remaining occupied territories. The Jordanian government cannot speak in name of the Palestinians in Israel, Lebanon or Syria.

Jordan is a country with defined borders. It cannot, for instance, make a claim on Haifa or Jaffa, while I have rights on Haifa, Jaffa, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva.

Jordan has jurisdiction only over Jordaniers and Palestinians living in Jordan.

A Palestinian state would be entitled to represent all Palestinians in the Arab world and elsewhere. Once we obtain all our rights in all of Palestine, we should not delay for one moment the unification of Jordan and Palestine.”

Agreement

Mohsen's analysis of the function of the existence of a Palestinian people is not the only political tie he has with the official Israeli position. One Israeli argument for retaining the 1967 occupied territories is the concept of secure and defensible borders. In spite of the fact that the Arab countries, in their media war against Israel, consistently brush aside this concept, it was in fact the idea of secure borders that lay at the bottom of Mohsen's defence of Syrian intervention in the Lebanese civil war.

"The Syrians only intervened in Lebanon to stop the hostilities. That was the only purpose of Syria and it succeeded in being accepted as an honest broker by all Lebanese parties. Syria was of the opinion that a renewed war in Lebanon would endanger Syrian security".

Thanks for the article Cassandra. I learn something new everyday. In all of my history lessons at school, not once did I hear about Hitler and Islam joining forces. The more I read and discover about Islam, the clearer past world events become. It seems as though every major world event has the Muslims either responsible or taking part. I am glad that I have finally awoken to what has happened in the past, the present and what we need to do to change the future. May the TRUE God of Christians and Jews finally open the eyes of the rest of the world.

Clear, informative presentation of the facts Cassandra. Bravo.

'Jerusalem was never the capital of any state but Israel.' This says it all.

For me the most stunning disingenuousness of the whole Palestinian case rests on the fact that fellow Muslims do not wish to give much help to them nor do the Palestinians berate them for this. A very funny political game is being played out. The Palestinians are so accustomed to violence and irrationality- we can see that. But that people in the west with better access to information fall for the irrational mantras of the Palestinians is nothing other than an florid example of intellectual mad cow disease.

If the Muslim world wishes to to help the women and children in Gaza they are welcome to. building hospitals, schools, shops and having a good police force would be a start.

It's really fascinating to read Mar Twain's accounts from "Palestine":

Here comes a quote describing Jerusalem in 1867:

The population of Jerusalem is compose of Moslems, Jews, Greeks, Latins, Armenians, Syrians, Copts, Abyssinians, Greek Catholics, and a handful of Protestants. One hundred of the latter sect are all that dwell now in this birthplace of christianity. The nice shades of nationality comprised in the above list, and the languages spoken by them, are altogether too numerous to mention. It seems to me that all the races and colors and tongues of the earth must be represented among the fourteen thousand souls that dwell in Jerusalem. Rags, wretchedness, poverty and dirt, those signs and symbols that indicate the presence of Moslem rule more surely than the crescent-flag itself, abound. Lepers, cripples, the blind, and the idiotic, assail you on every hand, and they know but one word of but one language apparently -- the eternal "bucksheesh." To see the numbers of maimed, malformed and diseased humanity that throng the holy places and obstruct the gates, one might suppose that the ancient days had come again, and that the angel of the was expected to descend at any moment to stir the waters of Bethesda. Jerusalem is mournful, and dreary, and lifeless. I would not desire to live here.

Re Husseini reviving the myth of Jerusalem being the 3rd holiest city for Muslims.

Wasn't it something to do with Mohamed having a dream that he rode on a mythical beast - a bit like a winged donkey - to a far-off mosque. I don't think Jerusalem was even mentioned.

To make a claim to Jerusalem based on some vague dream seems tenuous, to say the least. What is even more strange is that the whole world seems to take this ridiculous claim seriously.

If I had a dream that I rode on a winged camel to a church in Damascus, and subsequently claimed ownership of Damascus for Christians on this basis, I reckon I'd be locked up, and rightly so!

Caliph Umar certainly believed in Mohammed's story of his mystical flight. In 639AD when he captured Jerusalem he was shown around by the Bishop of Jerusalem, Sophronius. He wanted to see where the temple had stood as he believed that is where Mohammed ascended into the heavens.
When Sophronius showed him the site, Umar proclaimed that he would build a shrine to Mohammed there. Sophronius proclaimed "surely that is the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel". Umar did build a wooden structure in 640AD but Abd al-Malik replaced it with the Dome of the Rock in 685-691AD. Poor Sophronius was thrown into a dungeon and died in 640AD.

Let's not forget that authentic Muslims, who follow their historical documents, are superior to other people. That gives them the "right" to own everything, including the possessions of others.

Also, let's not forget that much of Islam is based on hatred, lies, and a wild imagination. That wild man and lecher Muhammad fabricated his fairy tale. It's so very obvious that a criminal of Muhammad's caliber cannot possibly be a prophet of the God of Love, the God of Christians and Jews.

What gift did the liar Muhammad have for the "infidel"? That's right, exactly nothing. Everything belonged to him, and to his cronies. Muhammad was one filty, evil, criminal, a cruel anachronism, a quirk of fate, that should never have existed in this world. Even some of the good Muslims, who are not really true Muslims, agree with me.

Israel, hang tight. Good people are on your side. It is a pity that you have evil neighbors, the Islamists, that bomb your innocent children every day. It is a pain to see Jewish children dying at the hands of the criminal Islamists. But those criminals firing their rockets toward Israel are true Islamists practicing their religion, Islam, the religion of hatred, pain, cruelty.

You are right. However much Islamists lie about how Islam is peaceful and that it is just like Christianity and Judaism, the evidence is out there for all to see.

Islam deceives. Islam believes everyone's property, and even life, belongs to them.

It is sheer evil. Good people must gain the courage to say no to Islam. Once good people start speaking out, I believe their leaders will follow.

Yes, I know it should be the other way round, but we have no real leaders.

Great Cassandra. Not only is it a pity that the full history of the area isn't known but it's also a problem that the Palestinians are presented as pure, oppressed people. In reality we are talking about a people who practise honour killing, have high rates of child sexual abuse, where women are beaten, raped, forced into marriage and segregated and sexuality and freedom perverted and where non-Muslims face violence and discrimination etc

We are talking of people who bring their children up in extreme hatred, trained as killers by the time they are 4-5! They destroy their chilren's childhood and teach them the greatest thing they can do is blow themselves apart for allah! Can you imagine such parents!

Some female suicide bombers became so to avoid an honour killing and because as a martyr they have sins forgiven they are told BUT, they don't if they carryout their mission for their own benefit, not the glory of allah!

Also unknown is the fact that Jordan sits on 80% of old Palestine so why no demands for Jordan to give up their land or join with the Palestinians? Jordan and the Palestinians fought in 1970-71 and the Jordanians slaughtered the Palestinians---possibly 5000 killed in one month alone, Black September 1970, but that's OK cos they're Muslims too!

In truth the Arabs hate the Palestinians and expel them (eg Libya, Kuwait, Jordan, etc), refuse to let them settle as citizens, jail them at much higher proportions (eg Syria), raid their camps eg Hezbollah in Lebanon and keep them locked in poor camps to act as a constant pool of destructive sadists to attack Israel thanks to Islam's hatred of Jews!

The Arab world expelled 800,000-900,000 Jews when Isreal was formed (losing everything) but tiny Israel takes in Jews from anywhere while the neighbouring huge, oil-rich arab Muslim states refuse to accept 'Palestinians' who left their land under instructions from the Arab Legue to allow a clear shot at Israel. Many were actually new to the area anyway, looking for jobs in Jewish businesses (ie UN changed 'refugee' definition)

Israel has many groups living there --the only middle-east country with a growing Christian population, only one with a Bahai Temple, even black Muslums head to Israel.

The Palestinians have received an absolute fortune from western and Arab nations and could have built a civilised state with all amenities and be living in peace and freedom but they cannot because they adhere to the intolerant death text of Islam and their leaders and their Arab neighbours care far more about killing Jews than they care about 'Palestinian' children!

Don't support hate filled, genocide preaching 'Palestinians' who regard their children as bomb carriers!

Circe,
Thanks for your informative, factual comments. Yes,
Palestinians are presented as oppressed innocent victims, but as you rightly say they "practise honour killing, have high rates of child sexual abuse, where women are beaten, raped, forced into marriage and segregated and sexuality and freedom perverted and where non-Muslims face violence and discrimination etc" In other words, like the rest of the Islamic world, they deny rights to non-Muslims, and repress and torture their own women and children.

And as you say, noone queries Jordan's right to exist. Yet Jordan sits on 80% of mandated Palestine. The Arabs hate their "Palestinian" brothers, using them as pawns in their jihad against Jews (and anyone else who is not Muslim!)

It's time Palestinians were exposed as a fake! Their leaders care nothing for their own people, but are controlling a terror organisation pure and simple, whether Hamas or Fatah.

Why are people of goodwill supporting terror!

Some extra facts.

On the day that Israel declared its independence, Azzam Pasha, Secretary of the Arab League, declared jihad, saying "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades". The Mufti of Jerusalem (and mate of Adolf Hitler) Haj Amin Al Husseini stated, "I declare a holy war, my Muslim brothers! Murder the Jews! Murder them all!". Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Iraq invaded Israel with the intention of driving the Jews into the sea.

60 years on, Arabs have used most of the money donated to them in their attempt to kill Jews.

If that's not racist, then nothing is. Why aren't those who put the advert for Al Nakba prosecuted under our racial discrimination laws?

Historical records show Muslims don't like Jews. They didn't like them before the State of Israel came into existence in 1948. For example, the Jews of Hebron were massacred in 1929 when there was no Israel.

If you read history books and Bat Yeor's book on dhimmitude, you will learn that Jews in Arab lands have been subject to brutal pogroms from the beginning of Islam.

Nothing to do with Israel. Everything to do with Islam hating Jews.

If you don't believe me, look what it says about Jews in the Islamic texts!

Hamas might be dressing up pretty for Al Jazeera, but their actions have not changed and if they want Obama, it is the best reason that I do not.
LINK

A television news segment produced by Al-Jazeera shows Palestinians in Gaza engaging in phone banking activities for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama .

The segment explains how young Palestinians have banded together to call American voters at random asking them to vote for Obama.

"It all started at the time of the US primaries," says one of pro-Obama Palestinian organizers. "After studying Obama's electro campaign manifesto I thought this is a man that's capable of change inside of America. As for potential change in the Middle East, he can also do that if he can bring peace to the area. At least this is what we hope."

Townhall was tipped off to the video by American Spectator's Phillip Klein, who wrote Tuesday "It's been around, but I'm just now seeing this Al Jazeera report of Palestinians in Gaza phonebanking for Obama. I hear that Hamas, which has endorsed Obama, has a bit of influence in those parts."

Ahmed Yousef, a political adviser of the anti-Israel terrorist group Hamas said Hamas supports Obama last Sunday.

"We don't mind–actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance," Yousef said in an interview on WABC radio.

In recent days, Obama's position on the Isreali-Palestinian conflict has been scrutinized. One of his Middle East advisers, Robert Malley, resigned over the weekend after reporters found Malley had met with Hamas.
